Expectations

^{_{Substitute Policy: Whenever there is a substitute replacing me for a class, you will arrive in the classroom and go immediately to your seat. Begin your work and do not hassle the substitute in any way, shape, or form. If your name appears on the ‘Problem List’ then you will lose points off of your semester citizenship grade at the end of the each nine week period. There is only one side to the story and it is the substitutes side, Come in, sit down, quiet down, and let’s get to work.}}

Students may check their grades daily... after each (never during) class... please do so periodically... if you have any questions about your grade always see me after your particular class... not during lunch... not after another class... not after school... not before school. After YOUR class period. Your grades are updated on a daily basis.

Hall Passes: No passes will be given until 5’ minutes after the tardy bell and 5 minutes before the end of class.

Make-up’s & Attendance: Since we have to teach Omnibus IV in one year... attendance is an area of great concern. Make up work will be accessible on the internet so you may download all makeup work and turn it in. Never leave your book or notebook in class... my classroom is not your other locker.

Class Work: Friday is the weekly test - Monday thru Thursday is prepatory information for each test. These are used in order to keep track of your comprehension - the percentage weight of these grades is listed above under the ‘Grading Policy' in your syllabus. Your mastery of the subject matter will be charted and kept in your personal notebook. Monday thru Thursday will be...notes, geography, notes questions, and a miscellaneous activities.

Grading Policy: All Assignments will be given a point value based on units of 10 - The assignments will fall into one of four categories: Classwork, Projects/Reports, Notebooks, and Testing. The assignments and projects are designed to help prepare you for your semester test as well as the end of the year final. An example and guidelinesfor your notebook are at the back of the classroom.
